Description
Use these FoodSaver Preserve & Marinate Vacuum Containers to lock in freshness and seal in flavor, with 2 different settings to choose from. Turn the valve to Vacuum Mode and attach to a handheld sealer (sold separately) to help keep food fresh in the freezer, fridge, and pantry. Or switch to Marinate Mode to marinate meat, fish, and veggies in minutes instead of hours. These convenient FoodSaver containers nest and stack to help keep your kitchen organized and are designed with premium Tritan material for extreme durability, so they won't crack or stain. These containers have a long-lasting vacuum seal, a flexible lid with easy-open tabs, and are dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup. They're compatible with all FoodSaver vacuum sealer systems.

Works great, until they explode
These containers work well initially—great for preserving food and keeping everything fresh. They might even last a year or two without issues. But eventually, they’ll explode. Literally. You’d better hope you’re only storing dry foods that are easy to vacuum up, because if it’s something liquid, it’s a mess waiting to happen.
On the plus side, FoodSaver will send you replacements when they fail. But until then, it’s like a suspenseful game in the kitchen every time you use them—you never know when it’s going to happen. I’ve had three fail in the last few months alone.
Great concept, questionable durability.

FoodSaver my Butt; It cost me money. It Exploded!
I used it a few times over the year and loved it. Then today I was vacuuming marinade and chicken then an explosion went off and I had marinade all over my counters, cabinets, wall, floor, me and my clothing, It took me a minute to understand how can vacuum cause an explosion? Part of the bottom broke loose and caused the sudden release of vacuum and blew the top off. It was huge mess, plus ruined the food, my clothes, and my dinner plans. I have never been so angry at a kitchen appliance and the irony is it’s suppose to save you time and money.

Great size and shape, but they eventually implode!
I have purchased many of these. They start to crack under stress and eventually implode.
I love this container a lot, but I wish they lasted longer.
I've been vacuum sealing them just before it cuts off so there is not so much pressure, but it still eventually implodes.

works great for quick marinating
I recieved one with a free offer included on the box of the vacuum sealer I purchased. Although it's kinda large and akward this thing is feeakin' cool. You forget to marinade the night before, or don't have time, no worries, If your sealer has marinade function only takes 30 minutes to infuse moister and flavor into any meat. :) You can actually see it working. I liked it enough to purchase another one. Just because. 😉

Freshness, even after Salad bag expiration date!
These Marinate containers are Excellent to preserve bagged salad to Watermellon and Canteloupe slices stay fresh for weeks!

Beware when Sealing - May crack the top!
I purchased this and after I vacuumed sealed the container I had it on the counter to be put away. Upon returning to put it away the top cover was cracked wide open. A big chunk of the middle was in the food. I have the base but it's not good to me now. I wish there was a cover to fit over it that doesn't vacuum seal but will keep some foods fresh. Very disappointed.
