Description
Use these FoodSaver Preserve & Marinate Vacuum Containers to lock in freshness and seal in flavor, with 2 different settings to choose from. Turn the valve to Vacuum Mode and attach to a handheld sealer (sold separately) to help keep food fresh in the freezer, fridge, and pantry. Or switch to Marinate Mode to marinate meat, fish, and veggies in minutes instead of hours. These convenient FoodSaver containers nest and stack to help keep your kitchen organized and are designed with premium Tritan material for extreme durability, so they won't crack or stain. These containers have a long-lasting vacuum seal, a flexible lid with easy-open tabs, and are dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup. They're compatible with all FoodSaver vacuum sealer systems.

Small o-ring renders these containers useless
I have purchased a few of the marinate and vacuum containers over the last couple of years and I like the versatility that they provide, but I have lost a couple of the small, clear o-rings that sit under the marinade/vacuum knob while washing them. Once that o-ring is displaced it renders the container useless as it will not create a seal any longer. I contacted customer service and they told me that they do not sell any replacement parts for these containers and couldn’t even tell me what the dimensions were so I could try to find an alternate. These are expensive containers and they are now useless because of an inexpensive part that foodsaver will not replace. I will not be purchasing any more of their products.

Don't buy Foodsaver Containers
I have bought at different times 25 containers, 4 = 10 cup , 21 = 3/5/8. because buying them at different time I'm not sure which one is newer or older. Over all I like the container when they work. the problems that I have had not holding seal and stress cracks on the 8 cup, I have 5 covers that will not seal I've called and stated I would even purchase different parts for the cover. I was told they were not available. They have factories full of these parts. The company is deciding not to make these parts available. So you would buy all new complete products. These products should last for years, all I'm asking to be able to buy parts. I'm going to go to another company Zwilling they sell container and have been rated by Consumer Report as better.

They needed more R&D before releasing these.
I bought these when they came out. Virtually everyone single one has literally cracked under pressure except the smallest one. The lid and bottom of the large flatter one broke, the taller thin ones the plastic is spider web cracking on the sides. I have had foodsaver products for 15 plus years and generally love everything, and I am disappointed and surprised these have such good reviews, want to love them, but they aren't quality.

I find it really frustrating that I look for containers all the time and there're hardly any available. I have to use points and checkout the clearance section and found these! Never have I seen them on website for sale... Please offer more containers of variety.

Preserve & Marinate Containers- they work!
We LOVE the vacuum seal containers for storing fresh fruit, but they don't last. We started with the round containers- worked well for a few months, then don't hold a seal. The same for the square and oblong containers. This new Preserve & Marinate containers have a nice indicator so you KNOW it is sealed. You HEAR air escaping as you push the lid down, then turn the dial to Vacuum and remove air until the indicator pops down. This keeps fresh cut strawberries and cantaloupe FRESH for more than a week!

Not a good investment.
I have used these containers for over a year now. I won't be buying anymore as most of them show cracks and will fail within 12 months. I had 1 10 cup container implode on itself and the others I have are showing cracks. The Idea is good but the quality won't last. Its too bad because when they work they work well.

Cracks after first use
I used them once, and washed them once on the top rack of my dishwasher. One of the containers developed spider web cracks on both sides.

Foodsaver Lover
I am a FoodSaver Lover, I have almost every product, bags, and containers that are available. I bought a FoodSaver machine for my daughter, I bought one for my friend, and I made one of my friends buy one. I am a female senior (85 years old), and love to cook, but, I love to cook in quantity, and have leftovers. My leftovers stay beautifully, and then when I don't feel like cooking, or don't have the time, I either take a bag out of the freezer, or open a container that I have in the refrigerator. I also love fruit, and since i'm somewhat handicapped right now, (major surgery) I can't get to the store to purchase the amount of fruit I love. I purchased an abundance of berries, (friend shopped for me),put them in a foodsaver container in the refrigerator, and they lasted perfectly for 2 weeks. I'm a Floridian, and live alone, and feel that my good cooking doesn't ever have to be wasted. Thanks FoodSaver for a wonderful product.

Only the clear base can go in the microwave, and it&rsquo;s intended for reheating food. Both the base and the lids are dishwasher‑safe for easy cleaning.
