I did receive my hose, which I am thankful for as many others did not. The hose in this kit does not fit my Food Saver model. Upon researching further, I noticed there were two different hoses that could be purchased individually. One was the one that came with my kit. The other had a green fitting on the end of the hose. When comparing the two, I found in the description for the one that came with my kit, that it does not fit all models, mine being one of them. I have not had a chance to try this product out until I purchase the correct fitting hose. Hoping Food Saver will send me the right one. I did contact the company, but have had no response.

Inaccurate pictures and description
BEWARE! I was interested in purchasing this product and read reviews and became concerned with reports of accessory hoses not being in the package. I contacted customer service to see if this had been addressed and was advised the illustration and written description are incorrect and the purchase is for the two jar covers only. You must buy the accessaroy hose separately if you do not have a compatible hose currently.

Missing hose has been received
I ordered this set and received the wide and regular jar sealer parts within a few days. Like many others, I did not receive the Accessory hose in the package. I contacted the company, and then I contacted them again, and got a response that they were backed up trying to resolve this problem with a lot of customers. It seems that whoever is packing the product into its original box messed up. Customer service was apologetic about the situation and sent the Accessory hose immediately. I have since used the sealer, and it works fine. My dry goods are now sitting on the shelf in jars.

Missing hose and poor customer service
Just got my jar sealers in the mail and should have read the reviews before purchasing because I too have a missing hose. I contacted the company and had a “chat” with someone who said the hose that came with my food saver would work. Well I can’t get it to work. I need a video demonstrating how to work it. Very disappointing.

Terrible customer service
Several reviews show people aren’t sent the hose with this set. I was not sent the hose which makes the set useless. I don’t understand how this keeps happening or why it hasn’t been fixed but I contacted customer service and they ignored me.

Vacuum sealing &quot;wet&quot; foods is NOT a substitute for heat-based canning processes (water bath and pressure canning). Vacuum sealing in jars is a great way to extend freshness of refrigerated foods and for long term storage of dry goods such as rice, beans and pasta. Flour can be vacuum sealed but should be stored in a freezer for long term storage. For safe canning processes and recipes, go to the NCHFP (National Center for Home Food Preservation) or the Ball Canning Jar websites.

Hello! Great question! The FoodSaver&reg; Jar Sealing Kit works best for dry goods, grains, coffee, spices, and other pantry staples. While you can technically seal liquids such as soups or sauces, it&rsquo;s important to note that they must be chilled or refrigerated first before sealing. This helps prevent the liquid from being drawn into the vacuum channel and ensures a proper seal. Please note: the vacuumed container itself should not be frozen. For best results, refrigerate sealed liquids. If you pour in hot liquid and seal it, the vacuum will help preserve it, and it should be fine to store on the shelf. For everyday liquid storage, we recommend refrigerating or using FoodSaver&reg; vacuum seal bags designed for liquids.
