So convenient for summer garden freezing!
I bought these to try but never imagined how handy they would be when freezing summer garden produce. Not instead of individual pint and quart bags, I can individually freeze batches on trays and just slide them into these gallon bags. So convenient to open, remove a portion and re-vacuum seal. They stack flat on the freezer shelves of can stand upright in containers. I also use the quart size reusable zipper bags.
If there is someone listening, I would love to have you make a 2 quart size reusable zipper bag! This would make my collection complete for any freezing need!

I wish these reusable zipper bags were more square
I buy frozen pizzas quite often and I always rearrange all the toppings that have fallen off in transit. Before I put the pizza back in the freezer I decided to try and put it in one of these FoodSaver gallon-sized bags but the width of the bag was about an inch, too small. The particular bags I have are 11 inches wide by 14 inches deep. I just wish these bags were a little more square in shape, so they would work with more items. And from my own research, FoodSaver doesn't seem to make any larger, reusable zipper bags. Other than that though, they work great!

Makes saving money easier
I use these for my everyday items like cheeses and fresh produce or for frozen foods that I am getting into regularly. A large bag of frozen fruit is a perfect example. Just use what you need, reseal and vacuum. When the bag is finished, wash and dry, Bingo! ready for the next bag. Saves food from freezer burn but makes using it easy- peasy.

Very Economical Storage
I love the resealable and reusable vacuum bags. They are good quality- thick and hold up for multiple uses. Saves a lot of money vs using the original, one use bags all the time for foods that don't need that level of storage such as vegetables and cheeses.
Ive used Food Saver system for over 35 years and don't know what I would do without it.

Recent purchase, limited use thus far. First use, leftover popcorn from POPCORN AND A MOVIE NIGHT with grandchildren. Placed popcorn in a bag and applied suction until it just started to compress. Stayed fresh all week long despite numerous opening and reseals. Possible use for breakfast cereal to keep it fresher.

Tried everything, won't stay sealed
Even after having been over the instructions over and over and over these don't stay sealed. I think I figured out the problem: When I run my fingers across the seal, the cross-hatch design gives the plastic a "grain" and, like sewn objects with a diagonal grain, the plastic just doesn't sit straight enough for the zippers to lie perfectly horizontal. Invested tons of time and money into cooking, freezing, and bagging and everything is coming unsealed, we have to reseal everything every few days.

Barely Reusable
“Reusable” is a stretch… worked great the first time and even the second time. The third time proved too challenging to get air to move through the valve. Had to throw away after two uses. Technically it was reusable, but not by much.

I have bought a couple boxes of these reusable gallon bags. I purchase fresh fruit in bulk and freeze them in these bags. I have only had one tear and that was not the bag failing- it was my fault.

To clean the bags: - Turn the bag inside out. - Wash with warm water and mild dish soap. - Use a soft sponge or cloth to gently clean the interior, please avoid using abrasive scrubbers. - Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. - Air-dry completely before turning right-side out and storing or reusing. FoodSaver&reg; Bags that contained raw meats, fish, eggs or un-pasteurized cheese should be discarded after use because they may contain invisible bacteria that will remain after washing. Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Depending on the size of the pie our gallon bags should fit, but the fit might not be perfectly tight. A 9-inch pie has a diameter of about 9 inches and a height of around 2-3 inches, depending on the type of pie. A gallon-sized FoodSaver bag measures about 10-12 inches wide and around 12-15 inches tall, which should generally be large enough to fit a 9-inch pie, though the bag may be slightly larger than necessary. Our Reusable Gallon Vacuum Zipper Bags are designed for larger food items. It's important to note that the bag might be somewhat loose, which could make vacuum sealing hard to seal, as the vacuum might not be able to remove all the air if there's a lot of extra space. To get a better seal, you might want to ensure the pie is positioned in the bag as flat as possible and remove any excess air manually before sealing. We hope this helps.
