does not fit but it taught me how to replace blade
Replacement part does not fit my device. But while removing the blade insert discovered that i can easily replace just the blade portion of the cutter. Had I not tried to adapt this part to my current product, I would never have discovered that the cutter blades for my bag cutter are from common razor knives with snap off blades. was able to replace the blades in my existing product with sections of blade from a razor knife i had at home and now my bag cutter works like new. No tools necessary other than maybe a small screwdriver to separate the different components that snap back together.

Tiny, inexpensive part saved the holiday
When our food saver quit cutting bags, we feared we had to buy a new one. This little cutter part is cheap and pops right into place. At its price, we bought a couple of spares for the next time.

purchased (for the second time - 1st time other vendor & the 2nd time direct from food saver> the cutter replacement for the professional II food saver & both times it was not even close to what the replacement should be.

Bag Cutter
I need to purchase a replacement bag cutter (Part Number SKU) 2142391) for my VS3170 vacuum sealer. I have tried the customer support numbers on the website and the ones on customer reviews with the same issue. When I tried to upload a request for repair parts, it would not upload a small file well below the size limit. I finally found a phone number what connected me to foodsaver, but it was a BOT. and told it I wanted to talk to a live person or an operator to get a number to talk to someone and was disconnected. I just wanted to submit a part request that would upload or a mail address.

Wrong size
Does not fit my foodsaver. When ordered, it said it was for my model number, however, it doesn't fit so I have no cutter for my unit.
