FM2100
I love this unit, I actually returned a much more expensive unit to buy this one. This unit uses less bags, is easier to use and more reliable. Plus it has a 5 year warranty unlike the more expensive unit I returned.
I love the fact that the accessory hose is replaceable just because it seems like something could easily go wrong with it...just because it is a bending hose. I also love that this unit holds a roll of bags and has a built in cutter because FoodSaver bags are hard to cut evenly with a pair of scissors.
Lastly I want to add it is nice how it can be sat up on its side and stored on the counter! The only thing I wish is that it came in stainless steel!

Do not waste money on automatic models
This is my 3rd vacuum sealer in 30 years. First one was a manual model that was given as a gift. I gave it to a friend and upgraded (or I thought) to an automatic model (V3835) and hated it. Could never get the bags to seal properly and eventually stopped using it. Every automatic model has negative reviews about having to fuss with the bags to get them to seal. Wish i had done more research the first time. Save your money and go with the manual models (only thing manual is putting in the bag and locking the lid) the vacuum and seal process is still automatic. Just purchased the FM2100 and love it.

So easy to work
I bought this foodsave because I buy in bulk. I used it the first day it arrived and I have to say its awesome. We have large family so freezing meat is great. Have used it on the cheese and lettuce and just love it. My husband loves to take meals to work for office so i sealed stuffed peppers and it makes it so much easier to carry large amount to work without worrying about spilling. He loves it. We make our own fresh green onion sausage and vacuum sealed them to freeze and use later. We will try the zipper bags and hand held sealer too. That will be our next purchase. Don't know how I did without this so long. A friend convinced me to buy one so I tried this one. Its awesome.

Becoming an unsatisfied consumer of Foodsaver!!
I bought my Foodsaver almost three weeks ago and have been waiting two of those weeks for a response on how to return or get mine fixed! Right out of the box it hasn't worked! I can make the bags but can't vacuum seal anything. That part is broken! I was really looking forward to using this product because of wonderful things I've heard but to wait so long for help is rather ridiculous! I can't return it to the store because there's never any stock to exchange it with- I've tried looking! So my option is to continue impatiently wait. I expected better service and quality!

Nice well it lasted
Bought and used for a time then it started having issues. Did all the troubleshooting and no resolve. Asked for a warranty replacement and teas sent a 200 model to replace a 2100. Was told there is no 2100 available but yet able to find it still available for sale on there website. This has taken three weeks and the warranty department is now crickets so I will buy another brand and make sure I place a review for Foodsaver as one star everywhere. Do not buy, if you follow most YouTube cannner and sealer they eventually have problems in short order with this unit and replace with a better brand. Thought Foodsaver was a good brand but no longer recommend to my YouTube followers.

Replacement Food Saver
My FoodSaver that I had for years finally gave out. I called customer service to verify that the gaskets had been discontinued. After she affirmed they had, she recommend the FM2100 because it was similar in style to the Food Saver I was used to. The similar size let me store it in the same place so I agreed with her.
It came today and I tested it by sealing the meat I was going to seal when the old one died. It took me about 5 minutes to get use to the differences and I love the changes. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the accessories that Old Faithful didn't have.

Terrible item, terrible customer service.
As soon as I tried this item [FM2100], I contacted the company to return it. Awful. Did not seal properly. I received no response. Tried to call the Customer Service site. Put on hold for 20 minutes with a soundtrack that sounded like a nail was scratching the surface [so you'd hang up]. Eventually they hung up for me. I loved the 3440 vacuum sealer, but this one is very flawed. When I go to the freezer the next day, the seal has loosened and there is freezer burn. One way or another I'm going to return this and find someone selling the 3440.

Great product for moms on a budget
At first glance Foodsaver vacuum sealer looks very modern with the round edges and black surface. It is very easy to use and instructions are very clear. I used it to freeze my vegetables from my garden and the meat I bought bulk. They turned out really good. The option of making your own bag is a really good idea.I cut my bags short or long just the amount I needed right in the vacuum sealer.The bags are a little expensive but more money will be saved buying in bulk and freezing them. I have been wanting to buy a vacuum sealer for a long time and so glad to receive this product as a sample to review.

It does seal potato chip bags easily. You just have to shut off the sealing manually and earlier than the preset sealing time. I do mine all the time.
