Impossible to seal with the 5000 series
I’ve been buying the foodsaver products for 20 years or so. I can’t believe they still make these bags. This bag along with using the 5000 model are impossible to get a good pull vacuum and seal. The machine tries to but struggles and if ever does get to seal it leaks right out. These bags may work with another model, but not with the 5000. Unless your an octopus and push the bar and hold the bag folds with fresh meat in the bag, maybe then. I bought these bags on a bulk buy sale from foodsaver a couple years ago and only started using these after I used up my regular rolls. I regret that now.

Expandable Bags - Poor Product Design
I have been using FoodSaver products for many years. I like to meal prep and make pot pies to store in the freezer for easy dinners. I usually buy the 11” rolls and make my own bags. I seen the expandable roll at Walmart and thought these would be perfect. I was sadly mistaken! It took several attempts on each pie to get all the air out. I’m also disappointed because within 10 days in the freezer all my pot pies had lost their seal and were forming ice crystals. I have one older pot pie in the freezer (my control) in the original 11” bag and it has stayed sealed like it should. I will NEVER buy the expandable roll/bags AGAIN!

TERRIBLE PRODUCT
I BOUGHT THE EXPANDABLE BAG ROLL AT WALMART BY MISTAKE. I JUST FINISHED SMOKING 20LBS OF PORK BELLY FOR BACON. CUT INTO APPROXIMATELY 4 TO 5" X 12" X 1 1/2". I HAD TO CUT THE BAG ABOUT 18" LONG IN ORDER TO GET A SEAL ON IT AND THAT WASN'T VERY GOOD!!! AND IT TOOK ME TO TRYS TO GET A SEAL. THESE ARE TERRIBLE AND I AM CONTACTING FOOD SAVER FOR A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT.

The extra space you need
After going threw a new machine and larger bags I still did not get what I needed. If you are looking for a bag that can hold a Standing Prime Rib Roast this is the bag you need. It has the extra space to accommodate larger pieces of meat. I think it is the best new bag they have come up with in a long time. Any product that will not fit in an 11" bag it will most likely fix in this bag. My favorite new bag. Thank you foodsaver

Great Product!!
I have bought this several times!!! We have friends that smoke whole turkeys at Thanksgiving for us. I leave the turkey's in the pan with all the juices and vacuum seal it and put it in the freezer!! We ate one about 4 months later and it was just a juicy as the the other turkey we got and ate the same day!!

Perfect for a wild turkey
These bags have made it easy to freeze the wild turkey my husband hunts. We can fit the entire carcass in a bag. FoodSaver has made it possible to store the turkey without fear of freezer burn. So happy to see the expandable 11x16 are back in stock.

Wide enough for large 25 pound bag of flour + surg
I choose these large (WIDE) Rolls because I can place a full 25 pounds of flour inside the bag and seal with no problem. This keeps the air and dust out of the flour and with vacuuming the bags it keeps the flour fresher longer and bug free

Expandable bags are great
The expandable bags are great and will fit larger items- roasts, pork shoulders and butts. The first time i used them it did not seal properly. I failed to keep the folds flat. Once I corrected that problem everything was great. They are great and allow you to save and seal food that will not fit into the normal 11 inch wide bags. I will always keep a supply of the expandable bags on hand!
