A very fragile device
This liquid chamber comes in very handy especially when vacuuming bags and containers. However if the pump in the food saver doesn’t work this device will not work either. Plus it breaks very easily.

Doesn't work as advertised.
I bought the 3180 for its vacuum options, and it is a total piece of junk. I gave my 2100 to my son. Huge mistake.
The 3180 doesn't seal and the pump runs and runs and runs without evacuating a bag. Unless you lean on it really hard. Not only that, when you lean on it it finally get it to work, the pump is MUCH slower. Trying to bag multiple anything is a ROYAL PAIN. Total piece of junk! AND ZERO, I SAID ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, NULL RESPONSE from Foodsaver.
I cannot recommend them after this experience

Perfect fit, quick shipment and solved our problem
This was exactly what we needed. This piece had become damaged around the green ring on the bottom. It was not holding the suction against the bag. The damage came from being removed often to use the bottle suction part that attaches to the top. The piece was inexpensive and works as well as the original. The item was shipped quickly and arrived on time.

Misleading Photo
The website has this part listed twice, and one shows it as the complete unit - so I mistakenly purchased because I needed the TOP piece. When it arrived, I realized my error--so the webpage that I ordered from showed the full part but actually was only for this bottom chamber. UGH. I really needed the TOP because it always breaks at the port connection. I learned that top piece is not available on its own and I had to purchase the entire part for $15 (not $5). I have purchased so many of these that it is ridiculous. FoodSaver is aware the top part breaks at the connection port because I am not the only reviewer complain of this. So why not offer the top part only and allow us to save a few bucks? Better yet, create a connection port that doesn't break easily. I now have so many liquid chambers it isn't even funny. I ordered once again the full unit. Obviously, I like using this part with bags and love the benefits -- so they have me.

Upper lip breaks too easily
Breaks too easily. I've only been able to take one off then put it back on the hose assembly about a dozen times before it breaks. The upper rim the hose assembly plugs into is too weak, cracks then breaks, requiring replacement. I use the mason jar adapter quite frequently but have learned to leave this unit off until it's required. Then I pray it doesn't break.

This is actually to replace he one is that was on my Food Saver. The original one stopped working for some reason and because I use this piece very very often for sealing my ball jars or the special bags or whatever I needed to replace it asap. It's a great little feature.

They break and can’t get a new one internationally
I have a food saver ffs006 and this part broke - there seems to be a design fault as lots of people complain about this as you need to remove for the wine vacuum to work. Annoying they break and I now also can’t get a replacement as you don’t ship internationally even though I bought it fine via Amazon to my country. Can you add to Amazon so I can? Thanks

Very disappointed
I have had my Foodsaver for a long time now and love it. So I bought the mason jar sealer accessories and hose. I had to take this piece off so I could attach the jar sealer hose. Well something in the liquid chamber accessory snapped off and I think I have to buy a whole new Foodsaver to replace it, because the part that broke off isn't even in this piece. I am so disappointed.

Accessory Connector Break from
Breaks easily, poor design
We've just ordered our 3rd and 4th ones (the 4th in anticipation of the 3rd one breaking soon, like the first two did). It takes some force to put this on and take it off, which you need to do regularly to use both the male vacuum connector and this piece. The clear plastic oval that seats over the male connector o-ring eventually cracks or shatters into pieces.

Replacement FoodSaver Liquid Chamber Assembly fits
The replacement FoodSaver Liquid Chamber Assessory arrived quickly. It was a bit difficult when I tried to replace the older one which had lost much of the green rubber seal. The new one was very tight but perserverence got it done. Thank you, Food Saver. I use my food saver every day and I know it helps me save on my grocery bill.

Doesn't really fit
It's too tight and doesn't fit. I bought it so I could seal food saver containers. But I really don't use those containers much. I've moved on to using mason jars with the food saver. Also, I use the foodsaver rechargable hand vac for the zip bags, much more convenient than removing the liquid chamber accessory.

Fast, easy replacement part
Lost my original part on Thanksgiving Day - it just totally disappeared. I went on Food Saver website, looked up the part, ordered and it was at my house in no time. Price was very reasonable, no tax, no shipping fees. Definitely worth using this brand when they have such great customer service!

Replacement part
The replacement still does not "snap to fit" adequately - so it never locks, and I just have to hold the two parts together and rest them in the cradle. They do not lock, as the original and the first replacement I bought did. It works, but it's "kludgy" and disappointing.

Buy foods in bulk, seal with FoodSaver
My foodSaver unit has paid for itself in bulk food purchases many times over the cost of the unit! Buy at Costco, especially the high end meat product, frozen veggies, breads, etc., you name it. I've had my FoodSaver for 15-20 years and love to breakdown the meats I buy into service for 2 ppl; then when we want to use it, just pull a bag from the freezer, let it thaw,l marinate it & let hubby BBQ. Easily gives me the opportunity to buy meat & poultry at "sale" prices, bring it home, bag & freeze for another day. We make spaghetti sauce in 3 large pots, freeze it in quart Ball or Kerr Jars & when we want pasta for dinner, thaw the sauce and pre-made meatballs and Italian sausage and voila!...Dinner is nearly done, just add a salad and some garlic bread. Great idea when you're having company so you're not stuck in the kitchen cooking and sweating while everybody is waiting to eat. If I had to sum the Food Saver in fewer words, I'd say, Cost-effective, Sturdy, Reliable and Convenient. Sits proudly on my kitchen counter!

Shipping Cost!
The item came packaged well and in good shape. Didn't exactly care to pay more for shipping ($6.83) than the cost of the item ($5). I believe that I will find a new source for this item before ordering straight from FoodSaver if ever I need another one.

LCA to brittle.
it seem that I'm not the only one that has had the LCA crack at the top when removed to either clean or use with another accessory. can we please get an upgraded LCA that does not crack/break after the first couple time of being removed/replaced??

I am so happy with my food saver. I just wished I would of got it sooner. My husband and I are empty nesters now. So the food saver has helped me in the way of separating my meat to accommodate feeding just 2 people. No food goes to waste now

Replacement Liquid Chamber Accessory
We needed a replacement. We use this Liquid Chamber accessory often. Our green seal had split so the accessory no longer sucked up the air. This new one works perfectly. I'm glad we only had to replace that small part.

Great question! This part is only a replacement part for FoodSaver&reg; The New Handheld Sealer. You would need the entire FoodSaver&reg; The New Handheld Sealer to use with the zipper bags. If the accessory port hose of your machine is green in color, then you can use the FoodSaver&reg; The New Handheld Sealer. If not, we recommend you use the FoodSaver&reg; Zipper bag adapter part number 137207-000-000 which connects to your hose to seal zipper bags.

The Retractable Handheld Sealer from the machine will do the process to seal soups and sauces to our fresh containers and quick marinator. If your machine has no attached Retractable Handheld Sealer, then we may need to buy a separate one. We hope this information helps.

Great questions! The FoodSaver Liquid Chamber Assembly is a replacement part for the handheld sealer hose. It can only be used with that hose. It can be used in place of the green container adaptor but not in conjunction with it. You will just need one or the other.
