NO VACUUM AT ALL. Does not remove air from the small bags. 10 minutes produces no results. I may try to find the older model on ebay or marketplace. Don't waste your money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CoJo from Cordless Handheld Vacuum Sealer I really love how quick & easy it is to seal these bags. To be able to reuse them instead of always having to make new bags, is great! I do however, have two things that may make it a little better.... 1) I do not like that I have to hold down the button for it to vacuum. I feel I should be able to push/release the button, to start the process, then it would automatically shut off when it is complete. If I need to stop it before all air is removed, I could just push the button again to stop it. 2) A rubber seal that would fit just inside the bottom to make sure your getting a seal when the contents of the bag are not flat or even. All in all, I love it!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pkp3 from Stopped working Bought the prior model, Model FS2100 and received it in January 2023. Always kept in the charger and showed as charged. Worked great initially but about 2 months ago it started having a very short vacuum time. Tried cleaning the contact points, having it sit out for 24 hours and then placing in stand for 48 hrs before trying to use. Green lights turn green in the stand but now the green light flickers briefly and then goes out when I try to use it. Just past it’s year warranty so not much I can do. Now the multiple special bags I bought to go with this sealer are basically expensive ziplocks. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JHB50 from SOOO handy. I have been a FoodSaver owner for years. When they first came out with the resealable bags, I bought the little attachment for the big machine. The downside was the big machine had to be on the counter all the time. This new little miracle device is perfect. It takes up no counter space. It takes just a few extra seconds to fully pull all the air out, but it is worth the time. I am using it more than I have used any of their other devices. Freeze your bread first so the bread doesn't get flattened out and take out one piece at a time. For someone who is single, I don't worry about packages having too much food. Bag it, seal it and freeze it!! I have recommended this product to numerous people already.

The pins that allow the unit to recharge got stuck and broke on the first one I bought, rendering it useless. Thinking it was, I bought another one, but to my dismay, the same thing happened again. I strongly advise against buying this product as it seems poorly made and not worth the a one-off issue money. It appears as though they designed it to fail quickly and take your hard-earned money. The sad thing is that the system does not allow giving a lower than one star; if it were possible, I would give it a zero."

I use it to make large batches of entrees and sides and then freeze them in smaller packages for two people saving time. I also use it for sous vide prep. I wanted the mini version so that I could take it with me when we are in our RV, and I wanted to be able have it on the counter at home for easy access. With this purchase, I also got the reusable packages which are really nice. The charging stand is a must!

We have five reusable containers that we used regular with this product but I will not be pulling out our big sealer just vacuum containers. I'm not sure if I'll buy another one or not. Very disappointed.

After a short time, unit wouldn't hold a charge. FoodSaver replaced with another unit. Now, again, a year later, it won't hold a charge. I've purchased supplies of bags and marinating containers. Now all useless. FoodSaver offered me 10% off of buying another unit, then upped it to 20%. Seriously? Are these manufactured to last +/- one year, and are we supposed to keep buying them over and over??? No thank you.

No reason. I don’t know why this is even made and can’t figure out why they stop working. I’ve had FoodSaver products for years!

But one day I ran across this little gizmo, and thought, “Why not?” It.Has.Changed.My.Life!! Put your food in a bag, seal the top, and use this to remove the air — boom, you’re done! The proprietary bags seem to be more expensive outlay than the rolls used by a countertop machine, but they are washable and reusable, so I call it even. The handheld takes up no space, and works very, very well. 5 stars, I can’t imagine living without it, get one!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by WeeVanNan from Great gadget, reuseable bags not so great I bought this over a year ago and whilst the gadget itself is great I have found the reuseable bags to be not so great. The sealer holds its charge for a long time. If you are using the bags for long term storage you will need to check every week or so to ensure they haven't lost their vacuum. In my experience it's been a hit and miss exercise. If you wash the bags, throw them out, they lose the ability to retain the vacuum. The bags are relatively small and if you can't lay the vacuum sealer flat, it won't vacuum. But the bags have their uses and are good for keeping smaller dry things vacuumed such as herbs. I also had trouble obtaining a seal on the containers it came with, and when I did, it didn't stay sealed. I give the gadget 4 stars, the bags I would give 3 stars.

The manual says to recharge every 6 months, but mine barely lasts 4 months. No trouble to recharge, just curious what kind of usage lets it go 6 months. The counter top unit stops automatically on containers. The instructions for this is to wait for 10 seconds after the bubble indicator shows vacuum has been attained on the containers. I like the fact that is takes up very little room, however!

I only use it for things such as cheese and deli meat. It has power and appears to be charging due to green light being on but the last time I tried to use it it would not work. I have no idea why.

But, and this is a big "but", the instruction leaflet is very poor in regards to the proper recharging technique of the Unit. First, can the unit be left in the Charging base between uses? Second, if not, how often should the Unit be charged and for how long? And, lastly, should the Unit only be recharged when it has lost most of its power? I did the 24-hour initial charge. Now what?

As far as being able to use with other containers like the fresh containers for fruit or the flat containers for deli meats and cheeses, it simply does not work. You can get it to work on the flat containers for deli meats but I had to use an adapter I still has from a previous hand held sealer to get it to work. If it had adapters available for this unit to be used with the other containers I'd have give it a full five stars but as far as vac sealing the zip top bags, this works flawlessly.

Recently I saw it on your site again and ordered another. It is one of the handiest kitchen gadgets snd it saves money. I am single, so often when I cook there is more than I can eat or raw ingredients than I planned. Using the special bags you sell I can preserve leftover or raw ingredients for much long than typical plastic bags. Easy to use, small so it takes up little space and intuitive I simply find this saves me time and money.

This device with the quart and gallon zipper backs are PERFECT! Very simple, quick and fast. Device is small and zipper bags are much easier than using the full machine to make your own bags. Also a lot most cost efficient. I purchased the device, 4 packages of quart bags, 4 packages of gallon bags for around $75.

I am single and cook in batches breakfast, lunch and dinner gluten free organic low fat meals. FoodSaver saves me hundreds of dollars yearly making all my own "fast foods". Highly recommend this product. I have given it as Christmas and Birthday present to my son and sisters. Aids in a healthy life style with no freezer burn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nuc doc from Works, but very slowly This small vacuum pump when used with special bags sold by the company. It does indeed draw the air out of the special bags, but very slowly. I takes me about 5 minutes minutes to evacuate a bag large enough to hold 10 oz of bacon. It does finally evacuate the bag, but the timing is really not acceptable. The device does better than the previous model from the same company. They still have not solved the problem of storing liquids. The best way to do that is to freeze the liquid then bag and evacuate. Not the greatest solution.

Yes, the FoodSaver V1100 it is the same unit as FoodSaver 31161370. It can also sometimes be found as FoodSaver FS1110.

The only reason it has different number/model/name is due to a different distributor, but it is basically the same handheld model.

I am happy to inform you that the V1100 is compatible with our Bottle Stoppers. To use the two items together, remove the Transparent Reservoir off the Handheld Sealer, which will expose a tip that you can then insert into the hole on top of the Bottle Stoppers.

I am happy to inform you that this product is fully compatible with the Jar Sealer Accessory. To use these items together, please remove the transparent reservoir from the Handheld Sealer, which will result in exposing a tip. This tip can then be inserted in the hole on top of the Jar Sealers.

I am sorry to inform you that this unit can only be used with FoodSaver Zipper Bags, which are not freezer safe, however, it can also be used with our Preserve and Marinate Containers, which can be safely frozen. In that situation, it will make it so that the food can be preserved for longer when frozen.
