The built-in roll storage and cutter bar let you easily make custom-sized vacuum seal bags without scissors, and hold both 11- and 8-inch bags perfectly. Moist and Dry modes ensure you get an airtight seal regardless of food type. And the built-in bag alignment provides correct bag placement for a proper seal every time. This food vacuum sealer also features a dishwasher-safe, removable drip tray for easy cleanup; an easy-lock latch for one-handed operation while you're securing bags; and an accessory port that allows you to use FoodSaver zipper bags, containers, and accessories with the bonus included handheld sealer and hose. fantastic to secure dehydrated food +
I wanted the Foodsaver vacuum sealing system as a better way to get air tight containers for the produce I dehydrate every fall. I also found it fantastic for preserving meat for the freezer. Once I got use to using it, the system is so easy. Yet, I will say the first two times of trying to secure the handle into the locked position was difficult and had to push it hard. Another aspect I had some difficultly with until I figured it out was exacting where/how to seal the final end of the packaging. The instructions were too vague and it was trial and error until I figured the exact placement of the packaging material. I am perfectly happy with my Foodsaver vacuum sealing system.

FoodSaver Vs2150 Vacuum Sealing System
This is by far the coolest FoodSaver I've ever had and it's so easy to use. Something I really like about this food saver is the roll cutter on the lid. One of the features that this food saver has that I'm really excited about is that it has the east lock latch a one-handed operation secures the bag for vacuum sealing. I also think it's really cool that it has a built-in bagged alignments it ensures correct bag placement for a proper seal. This thing even has a seal button that seals rolls to the correct custom size bags. This vacuum sealer it's for sure a game changer and I highly recommend it.

Must have for all household!
This machine is a must have for every family household, especially if you like to buy in bulk to save money. Being able to portion out your bulk protein to freeze and help keep it fresher longer is a very good reason to get this vacuum seal. What the point in buying in bulk and the food goes bad before you can even consume it. That not really saving. Not only do we use it to seal and freeze but we also seal other type of food for the fridge or seal other things like bags of chip. One other function we use this sealer for is to seal and Sous Vide (cooking method). We prep our protein with all the seasoning & marinade and then seal it so that it can lock in the flavor while it is cooking. We’ve been using an older FoodSaver vacuum sealer (FM200 model) for years and this is an upgrade. We use it so often that it never gets put away. Just like the previous model, it easy to use. The cool thing about this model is that it has a slot to store your FoodSaver roll which makes it convenient. Just pull the roll out to sealer section and seal one end 1st (using SEAL button). Now pull roll out to desire length and then cut it using the build in cutter. Place whatever you want seal in that bag and then place the open end back on the sealer section. Now use the VAC button to vacuum out all the air and seal in that freshness.

Excellent New Design
I've owned several models of Foodsaver products over the years. I vacuum seal the normal stuff, but also use the sealer for storing bulk herbs and spices and dehydrated foods. I do a lot of gardening and some mushroom hunting, so it definitely comes in handy. I've mostly used bags, but have lately started using the jar sealer functions. I really enjoy this feature a lot. I have a million jars in the house, and can reuse them almost indefinitely.
Anyhow, this model has been updated design-wise to feel more modern. The LED lights are bright white as opposed to the traditional green and red. The silver paint on the top portion of the unit is also a very new look. I like it overall. The vacuum sealer holds one roll of bag making material with a built in cutter. It's easy to use and keeps your vacuum seal bags with the machine. I don't have a lot of use for this as I have an entire drawer dedicated to bags and accessories, but I can see how it would be helpful. You take out the machine and the bags are right there. Convenient. I really like the new design of the locking mechanism on the side. The knob is attractive, intuitive and works well.
One thing that I had some trouble with at first was trying to use my old accessories with the new machine. None of them seemed to fit. Then it hit me. I have to use the NEW hose with them and not the old hoses. The new hose/sous vide bag sealer comes apart and you can use the top half to attach to the jar sealer mechanism. THEN it worked swimmingly.
I also have to say I don't really like how there isn't just a 'vacuum and no seal' function like there is on previous models. I feel like running the heat sealer all the time when sealing jars is wasteful and possibly damaging for the machine? I don't know. Maybe it doesn't matter at all.
I don't know if it's the difference between comparing a well used Foodsaver and a brand new one, but the vacuum pump on this unit is robust and quick. It works really well.
This sealer is intuitively easy to use and sleek and modern in design.

A necessity
This vacuum sealing system is a necessity for me.
Since covid I don’t shop as much anymore so when I do shop I buy a lot. With this machine I can seal my meat or whatever and keep them better, fresher and thus less wasting food and money. I also freeze my leftovers so I will now be vacuum sealing them before freeze it.
I especially like this for cheese, usually my cheese get moldy and funky before I finish using it, well not anymore. I will know vacuum seal a portion I’m not using.
The best part for me about this machine is the sealing feature as I can reseal my chips and snacks which will then keep them fresher longer.
The only thing I don’t like about this machine is before vacuum sealing meats and foods, you need to pre-freeze the meat and you need to pre-cook the veggies which makes no sense to me.
Otherwise it’s okay.

A great food storage solution
If youre in the market for a vaccum sealer this is definitely one to consider. Food Saver is the main brand you think of for at home vaccum sealing for a reason. I have an older model and this works essentially the same but with a few design changes that help it work a little better. They changed the angle that you seal at and moved the slider/cutter and melting strip further up so you waste less plastic sealing. There would always be an extra inch when i did it with the older model. All in all this is a great way to extend shelf life of food and save you money and fridge/freezer space. Its also perfect for sous vide cooking.

Amazing
I love my new FoodSaver VS2150 Vacuum Sealing System. When buying groceries and separating the meat I usually would use a zip lock bag. But now that I have the vacuum seal, I can package my food away without the worry of it getting frost bite. It's simple to set up and very interesting watching the air being taken out of the packaging.

Bye Bye Freezer Burn!
The perfect addition to any multi-person home that fits right next to the microwave. It was very easy to put together and the instructions were helpful too. Now, I can go grocery shopping and take everything that goes into the freezer out of its bulky packaging. It saves A TON of space in the freezer.

Answer to Aunt Sissy. In all my years of using Food Saver, I have NEVER frozen, or partially frozen anything! My food comes out just as cook each time. As far as excessive moisture, you can always pat it down with a paper towel to decrease some of the moisture. Enjoy!

Remove the plastic plug on the left side of the appliance by lifting it up from the side with hand. If necessary, use a small dull object to pop it up by pressing down and up on side.
