Fits In The Drawer
I previously purchased this model 6 years ago, but it finally broke. Something inside broke and it would no longer work with the hose attachment. I decided to purchase the same model because it fits into a drawer. While it is the same model, it is quieter. My old purchase included the hose and handheld attachment, this new unit did not. Luckily, I have the attachment but seems that it would be nice if they included it. Instead, they include a ROLL yet this unit does not store rolls... whatever. Hopefully I will get at least 6 years use of this device. The warranty is 5 years. I personally do not care for the green accent color, seems so outdated.

Worked 5 months & Company Hasn't Honored Warranty
I purchased this through Walmart's website and and received it 4/30. It stopped sealing 9/26. I tried their troubleshooting tips and nothing worked. I contacted their warranty phone number. Basically they tell you there that because of covid you have to go through the website, which I did. I got an initial email from them requesting a cc of my receipt, etc. and I provided all that they requested that same day. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM SINCE THEN (2 1/2 weeks ago)! Apparantly they do not stand behind their products. I have sent emails twice since then, and gone back on the website and sent it in again, and I still have heard NOTHING! Walmart will not handle it because I have had it over 90 days.

So I purchased my food saver years ago and boast a out it repeatedly. However recenty I purchased one as a gift to discover it only comes with a hose the chamber is not included, so what was your point on that decision. Had I not herm there when the gift was given there is no way they would have even noticed it was to be used in order to utilize your hose. This was the most embarrassing gift and after i boasted some much about it. I end up returning bcuz the store i got it from had no idea about a chamber accessory. Even the manual had a picture with the chamber attached to the hose

Adapter not included?!?
They sell the machine with the hose, but not the adapter you need to use the hose with resealable bags. What a terrible idea that is. I gave this as a gift not understanding you needed to buy another "accessory" to actually use resealable bags. When I read the contents on the box, i knew resealable bags weren't included. They made a big deal about the hose being included, not that you needed yet another part to actually use the hose!! I bought it online and read the contents and thought I was covered only to find out, but that wasn't the case at all.

Miss my old one
I replaced my poor old worn out Food Saver with this one a little over a year ago. It’s horrible. It has never worked right and when I called about it they had me try while they were on the phone. It worked so end of call. It STILL doesn’t work right, not vacuuming out air properly and when I think it’s done its job, the bag pops lose in the freezer. I’m really bummed about this and have given up trying to use it. I have been using multiple layers of Glad Wrap and then Ziploc freezer bags. Unfortunately, I can’t store my products as long in the freezer but it’s better than thinking it’s good to go then finding out it has freezer burn because the seal wasn’t good. I use only Food Saver rolls and bags so I’ve determined it’s the machine.

What happened to the quality of previous models?
I was sent this FM2000 as a warranty replacement for a different model that failed less than a year old. This FM2000 is very loud and does not have the vacuum power of previous equivalent models. We have owned equivalent FoodSaver systems for 10 years and this one is the worst. Seems the quality of units is declining over the years. We use only FoodSaver bags and know how to operate the units. So, it is not user error. We certainly would never recommend FoodSaver to anyone any longer.

The worst model ever
I bought my first food saver in 1988 they were new to the market and one of my friends had one so I bought one and have owned several models since then and they were all very good so when my last one was getting aged I decided to upgrade. What a mistake this model is a piece of junk it rarely if ever seal on the vacuum mode. I have been searching E-Bay and Face book market place for a used one of the older models and if and when I find one I will use this one for target practice because I would not even donate it to a good will or Habitat for humanity because I would not want to have some poor sole spending their money on it only to be sitting where I am with a product that is a piece of junk even if they got it for$15 or $20 at a Thrift Store.

Horrible Design on Hose Connector
Recently, the green hose adapter failed (plastic prong broke). We tried to purchase just the replacement hose. After searching the internet, we discovered this is a common failure and the hose is not available. No way to purchase a hose. Now we have a seni-worthless Foodsaver (cant use for mason jars or reusable bags).

I'm surprised that Foodsaver says that you can't seal liquids with any of the sealers. I've been sealing liquids with different Foodsaver sealers for over 25 years without a problem. Most of what I seal is liquids.

You may also try to test your FoodSaver by operating it without a bag. Allow the unit to complete the cycle. When the unit shuts off, lift the lid and gently touch the heat strip. Taking issue with the Food Saver response, besides the FM2100 storing a roll with a cutter, I believe that it also allows you to select whether you are sucking dry or wet ingredients. &nbsp;I did not see this feature in the pictures or description of the FM2000; I noticed that people did complain that the FM2000 was not sealing wet items, and this may be why. &nbsp;I have used Food Saver sealing machines for over 30 years. &nbsp;My last/current one is a V2240 that does not store a roll but does have the ability to choose wet or dry. &nbsp;However, I am in the market again as it does not seem to want to seal...it sucks but just can't finish and seal.
