In another answer below, it says freezing compromises the vacuum disk therefore freezing isn't recommended. So I guess what you meant was that it's safe to freeze, but ineffective?

We do not recommend putting the zipper bags in the freezer because the cold tends to compromise the vacuum disc's ability to create and hold a vacuum. Also, please keep in mind that zipper bags are designed for short term storage with items like deli meats, cheeses, dried nuts, fresh fruits, snacks, cookies and more.
