Use these FoodSaver Preserve & Marinate Vacuum Containers to lock in freshness and seal in flavor, with 2 different settings to choose from. Turn the valve to Vacuum Mode and attach to a handheld sealer (sold separately) to help keep food fresh in the freezer, fridge, and pantry. Or switch to Marinate Mode to marinate meat, fish, and veggies in minutes instead of hours. good container, good gasket, lid needs improving
these would definitely merit 5 stars if the lids were made of stronger clear acrylic like the older versions. the reinforcement structure on the underside of these thin black lids forms many cavities with hard to clean corners. being difficult to clean is a big negative for an otherwise improved design. the older versions had strong lids without the need for reinforcements, but they had a style of gasket that was prone to leaking and losing the vacuum. with this better gasket style that rarely leaks, fixing the lid problem will rate 5 stars +.

Do not buy, suction only lasts few days
Do not buy these!!! They only stay sealed for a few days. I keep dry goods in mine in the cabinet, and I checked on them a week later and the suction was released on all 6 containers. I even made sure the gaskets and everything were sealed correctly. Waste of money

MOST EXCELLENT VACUUM CONTAINERS!
I purchased these to replace some of the older FoodSaver containers which did not have the built in marinate function.
These containers are absolutely OUTSTANDING!
It has both the vacuum and marinate dial on the lid, and are super heavy duty.
Works PERFECTLY with the accessory attachment on my FoodSaver machine, as well as my hand held FoodSaver vacuum and FoodSaver vacuum stand.
A bit on the pricey side, but well worth the money because of its durability and function! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great Product
Overall, I like the product. The one concern I have is sometimes two of my container tops (and I have quite a few containers) won't hold a seal for longer than a day. It doesn't happen all the time, which makes me think perhaps the rubber seal in not completely cleaned when I return food the containers. Even with this small hiccup, I'd recommend the product to family and friends. It's great, and I use the products and the vacuum machine everyday.

Love the new containers!
I had some of the early first generation containers which were great for preserving food but left a lot to be desired in regards to cleaning, opening and stacking. These new containers however are fantastic in all regards! Super easy to clean, operate and store. The new lids are so convenient with an easy to use dial setting, easy on/off and are interchangeable with the other containers. Foodsaver hit a home run with this design.

Disappointed...
I was so excited when I found these. I loved the idea of using storage containers rather than bags for every storage need so I bought several. After using them for several months, I have very mixed feelings about them. They apparently are not good for long term storage. I had them sealed and placed them in my pantry and not one of the three containers was still sealed. It's probably a better choice to use the mason jar sealer or to place things in the bags for long term storage. The other downside I have found is that there is water in the lids after they are washed. So what are the upsides? I have liked them for marinating. That works well. The containers wash up beautifully and do not scratch or change color, so that's a plus. If I had it to do again, I don't think I would buy them because they take up a lot of room and do not stack well. I would instead just go with the rolls and seal in bags or in mason jars.

Very good product
I really like these food saver containers. They allow me to keep foods like salads and fresh herbs for much longer than i could before. The only problem is that sometimes they are difficult to vaccuum as the lid must be completely free of food. Even a small edge of lettuce in the seal will keep it from vaccuuming. It still is great to have.

Great marinaters!
I had an older version of the marinate container which worked well but was rather small. The larger of these three easily fit a 3 pound pork loin for marinating. The bonus is the other two containers can marinate as well so you can have veggies marinating at the same time. All three are very sturdy and work well!

3 Piece Container Set
I ordered, and was charged for this 3 container set, but never received it, and with no explanation as to what happened.
A refund was debited back to VISA, but without explanation the refund was shorted by $10.00.
Especially disappointing was the poor communication from the FoodSaver support department.

Reduces food waste
Being a family of 2, we always have open packages of foods that become stale as well as left over meals and recipe ingredients. Storing these in FoodSaver containers preserves food longer and reduces waste. Leftovers last longer in the freezer when stored in FoodSaver containers. Freezer burn is reduced.

Handy little helpers
I bought these on a whim, they were on sale so I figured why not. They are great, using them to keep bakery items fresh, or using the marinate function on my vacuum sealer. Which by the way is awesome. The meat cones out So much more tender and flavorful. GLAD I gave them a try.

This package of 3 items is just exactly perfect for my kitchen. Easy to use, access and clean up. My freezers are so much better organized with these and earlier purchases of Food Saver containers. I am sure any fan of cooking and saving leftovers will love this collection.

Love the containers
I love these containers. I have used them for storage with vacuum setting. i have put them in the freezer with chicken and I did not get freezer burn. I am still waiting for the 5 cups set I ordered but I find them to help keep my food a little longer

We have not used the new set but already own the 3-cup container and it is awesome for marinating meats for grilling. Especially if you forget to marinate over night. We wanted extra containers not only for marinating but to try for storage as well.

high quality product
these work really well - they hold the seal. You can use them in the freezer and they work reasonably well for storing some vegetables (e.g. peppers, tomatoes, but not asparagus) to prolong their life. I have not used them for marinating yet.

Keep your salads longer
The containers are very sturdy and keep vegetables fresh much longer. We also use the containers to marinate meats before we seal in bags to cook sous vide. It would be nice if they would nest, and take up less space while empty.

Blew me away
Outstanding company, this is my third Vaccum sealer I have worn out with constant use, and it saves me around $200 year in savings instead of throwing food in trash with spoilage. And with the new bowls it takes it over the top.

The Best Storage container for food.
The best storage for left overs. Great for the freezer also. They definitely make the food last much longer than any other storage container.

Great Containers.
I think these are great. Have not had any issues using them. They seem to be holding the vacuum just fine. I got them to use with my new hand held foodsaver device. I just wish they had some smaller containers.

Lid Issues
Two Lids are problematic, do not maintain seal, to be fair have not contacted CS yet, so there may be an easy resolution, visually I cannot detect anything, but imagine requires minor defect to lose seal.

Great product, endless uses.
