FoodSaver® 11" Heat-Seal Roll, 3pk
Used to be well made
I hate to say it, but I can not recommend this material. I just had to toss 5 bags that I made because they would not seal after vacuuming.
These rolls used to be made of a heavy material that held up extremely well. The bags made from it could be washed, bleached and reused.
The new material is thin, cheap and not up to expected standards. If you ever go back to the quality material let me know. I will come back. As it now stands, however, I am looking for a better material that will work in your excellent machines.

Just plain worth the $$.
I am on my second vacuum sealer. My present model is a V2865. My first FoodSaver vacuum sealer finally gave up the ghost after many years of near constant use. So many years I do not remember just how old it was.
I cannot say enough good things about this system as I use it every single day. My uses are vacuum bagging, (superb), and canister sealing, (slightly problematic). The canisters have an ongoing cracking problem over a long period of use but I have learned to repair all but the worst of cracks with a marine type sealer.
If you are into saving money, preserving foods much much longer than just putting them in plastic snap-top bowls, this system is for you.
For vacuum bags I use and recommend the 11" by 16' roll custom sizable bags. You can make any size bag you need for a particular sealing job....... L. Smith

my recent order PLUS
my order got here on time, was correct and at a good price...
THE PLUS PART
I have a vac 550 that I bought in January of 2003 which I've used regularly since..A WARNING TO OWNERS..I've tried the "aftermarket" bag material and while they are a little cheaper, the quality is far below FOODSAVER standards, so save your money. The FOODSAVER VAC SYSTEM has saved me thousands of dollars over the years (buying family packs), not to mention the benefit of a variety of FRESH food that is always available in my freezer, for me or if a surprise group happens to be around at dinner time. I even wrote a review that was in AARP magazine that, I'm told, had a very positive response. Even though my household is down to just me now, I know that if my vac 550 ever "gives up the ghost", I'll immediately be on the FOODSAVER web site to get a new one...EASILY ONE OF MY BEST AND SMARTEST PURCHASE...HANDS DOWN

save money with this product
I was a little apprehensive about these products so I purchased a small sealer to start and sealed a slice of turkey breast. I took it out of the freezer the following thanksgiving and put it in the microwave and it was like I have just taken it out of the oven. So with those results I bought a larger sealer and have use it for everything all the fish I catch large blocks of cheese cut in smaller pieces seal it put it in the bottom bins in the refrigerator. Great product don't get lured in for the look alike products they do not work as well.

great product...lots of uses
I'm on my third food saver machine....and buy the rolls in quantity as a money saver. Bags are reusable, however, they do need to be replaced from time to time. Moving the bags around in the freezer can cause small holes which leaves the bags....almost useless....however, even those can be reused for other purposes. I use those for sealing insurance cards/registrations for ATVs, the boat, vehicles, etc. Also they are great to carry 'fire starter kits' when hunting/hiking/camping, etc. Purchased my first machine in 1995! Thanks

I really like the fact that the rolls allow you to make any size bag you need. Very efficient.

Best deal ever!
Obviously it's a great product because Target and Raleys are almost always out. Buying online was easier and cheaper ... and they are never out!!

I have used your bags, and I make sure the seal is good, but after a couple of days in the freezer, the bag expands and it does not hold it's vaccuum seal, I am not sure where there is a hole or even if there is one, I've checked with water, squeezing checking for leakage. Found none, but there has to be since the vaccum is no longer holding.
