FoodSaver® Freeze 'N Steam™ Microwave Quart Heal-Seal Cooking Bags,16 Count
microwave steamer bags - great product
I purchased a box of those microwave steamer bags over a year ago, by mistake. i didn't use them until a few months ago. i had purchased tamales trader joes, which come two in a package. i only eat one for a meal so i wanted to freeze the other. i decided to finally give the microwave bag a try. when i took the tamale out to have it, i stuck it in the microwave and it came out moist and better than it turned out just on a place. by now, i've used the entire box so i needed more. i couldnt' fine them at kohls, walmart, or bed bath and beyond, so i bought them on line. i hope you don't stop making them -- theyr'e a wonderful secret!!!

A bit too large
This bag holds a lot of food! I like to make soup and save it for my kids. I use the quart-size bags b/c there is no other size of microwave bags. It is a pleasure to use them and wonderful to put them in the microwave and not worry that they'll explode, however, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE FOODSAVER MAKE A PINT SIZE MICROWAVE BAG! They are expense and a portion-size for soup is about 2 cups max. These bags can hold almost 4 cups so I feel like I'm wasting money on using such a large bag.

Easy to use.
I bought these so I could buy and store seasonal vegetables that we don't grow in our garden. I recently found a good deal on asparagus and bought more than usual. I blanched them and stored them in meal size portions.
I just used one last night. The cooking guide is right on the bag, so there is no guessing. The bag saves using another dish for preparation. Also, storing in the vacuum bag and then steaming prevents degradation. The asparagus were great, cooked to perfection!
These bags are definitely a plus!

Use for backpacking - save space and washing dishe
I just started using the Freeze 'n Steam bags for backpacking. Just measure out the dehydrated meals from your bulk purchase of meals (dehydrated meals cut weight and bulk saves money), seal in the Freeze 'n Steam bags (saves space in your backpack and you can see what the meal is without labeling), open the bag on the trail and add boiling water, steep and eat (saves washing bowls and conserves water). Great - convenient and cost effective!

Freshness is the best feature
I wish I had one of these food sealers years ago. Would have saved me money. I like to bake and this is one way of preserving my favorite scones when I bake in big batches. I seal six at a time.
Then I always have fresh scones of various types in my freezer for guests.
I am giving vacuum sealer as Christmas gifts this year.
Second use is vacuum packing perfume and make up for travel by plane. Everything arrives in perfect condition.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM
I am on a low carb diet and these bags are wonderful...I put a chicken breast, some veggies, and seasoning. I then seal and freeze them. I grab a bag out of the freezer take it to work and at lunch put in the microwave and cook for 20 min and have a great low carb meal!! I've also used fish and placed a half of a fresh lemond in with it and when it cooks its flavors the fish just right. The steam bags have made it so much easier to stay on the diet and its fun to create your own microwave meals. Thanks

These are great to have. Didn't even know that they had these until I came on this site and I'm glad that I did. Great size, love the timing chart on each bag so even my daughter can do this without asking! Will definitely order more in the future.
