Handy Pint size helpers I have re-ordered these pint size bags on numerous occasions. They are, without a doubt, the best size for leftovers or portioning out a small amount of anything you can think of. I just purchased two whole Pork Loins and cut them down to manageable size portions. Some cut in cubes and most are cut in about 2 to 2-1/2 inch mini roasts that, when defrosted, are cut into 2 thick, boneless pork chops. Although I use all sizes of Food Saver bags, these pint size are the absolute handiest for a single man to use. I am eternally thankful for such a great product. A part of every order always includes Grandpa's little helpers. May 13, 2012
Bagger These are great for portioning fruit for freezing. Very convenient to have ready-made bags all the same size. However, the white area for the label is at the bottom of the bag. Can't write on it after the product is in the bag because it is all lumpy. Can't read it if you write on it first because, again, once the product is in the bag it is all lumpy. Froze several bags of blueberries yesterday, and can't read any of them. There is a large flat area at the top of the bag that could be written on before or after sealing (since so much of the bag is required at the top for the sealing process). It would make a LOT more sense to print the white label area up there. July 31, 2014
JUST RIGHT FOR ONE OR TWO PEOPLE THESE BAGS ARE JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR TWO PEOPLE. LEFT OVERS. I PUT 4 PC OF CORN IN A BAG ABOUT 3 1/2 TO 4 INCHES IN THE BAGS. I POKE HOLES IN BAG AND COOK IN THE MICROWAVE COOK ABOUT 5 MIN. READY FOR PLATE. FREEZE VEG. JUST RIGHT FOR TWO NO LEFT OVERS. SO HANDY.. SAVE MONEY ON CHEESE RESEALING BAGS. A BIG MONEY SAVER. I BUY IN BULK DRY GOODS LIKE A 20 LB BAG OF RICE PUT IN QUART JARS AND SEAL AND RESEAL AS I USE IT . THE TOP CAN BE REUSED. MAKE BIG BOWEL OF SALAD PUT IN GT JARS AND PUT IN FREG. FOR THE WEEK. Pint size the best size! I love the pint size FoodSaver bags! These are the perfect size for my portions of food that I make in advance for lunches. I also use this size for portions of fresh fruit and vegetables to put in the freezer so that when I want 1 serving of fruit - I grab one of these little bags from the freezer and thaw them out. I also use this size for Avocados. If I buy a few Avocados and they are getting ripe to quickly - I cut them in half and seal each half in a bag, put them in the fridge, and can have them when I want them! So many uses for this perfect pint size bag!! July 24, 2014
Terrible bags I bought 2 boxes of the pint sized bags and almost half would not fully let the air be sucked out of them. I ended up throwing several away and will NOT ever by food saver bags again. I have also have that happen with some of the qt bags as well just not as many. I bought competitor bags and had no problems at all! I thought maybe it was the food saver machine but when the competitor bags worked fine I knew it was the food saver bags being the problem. They really need to fix the problem!!!! I highly doubt if this will be published with the problems I had! May 3, 2013
Absolutely LOVE these PINT bags Since I am just me, when I purchase bulk items, its fantastic having the right sized bags for storage, vacuum sealing and freezing. Plus with the quality of the FoodSaver bags, I don't need to worry about the time items are in the freezer either. Plus they're also great for smaller amounts of berries, vegetables and fruits. I can fit one chicken breast, a pork steak or what have you in each and more user friendly for me. Thanks for making such a great quality product, I plan on using them as long as I possibly can. Love my Food Saver!!! April 15, 2015
Perfect Size I love the size of these bags. I freeze individual servings of meatballs for my son. Lately all he wants is a meatball sandwich, go figure...so I made a huge batch up and froze 4 per bag. He just grabs them out of the freezer and thaws in some cool water. It is the perfect size for two sandwiches! I received my Food Saver for Christmas and have been having so much fun with it. I love that different size bags are available. I am making soup this afternoon, and love that it is easy to find freezing suggestions and how to directions. March 18, 2014
I am not a whiner But why can't I get these at my local stores. And when, when, when, will Food saver come out with a 1/2 pint bag? Are you getting the idea that I love these small bags? Well, you're right. I cut them in half but I don't want to. I want half pint bags. But they're handy for sandwich ingredients. Who wants a soggy sandwich? Not I! So use one for two slices of bread and another for lettuce and tomato (and do use the pulse button) and yet another for meat and cheese. What handy bags for lunch sandwiches! Carry on Food Saver!
