FoodSaver® GameSaver® 11" x 16' Heat-Seal Rolls, 6 Pack
FoodSaver® GameSaver® 6-Pack, 11" x 16' Long Rol
My recommend to by is with caveats. I found there was at times failure to seal even with a double sealing top and bottom. I even waited a bit after the sealing cycle to open the li and remove the bag. I saw a failure more towards the end of the roll. The inital (inside) part of the roll is twisted, forming wrinkles in the bag. I have tried to smooth the wrinkles with my fingers but I believe the wrinkles prevent sealing. Also, since this is a tiny family, an even smaller bag would be useful, such as for a half cup or so of food at a time. Even the five inch wide bag is too large for me. It would be a much more economical size would be about three inches wide.

Can be used for more than food
Our Safety Technicians used to place clean fresh air masks into zippered plastic bags. This was a less than ideal system since sometimes the bags would open in the field and the mask would become dirty. Zippered bags also provided the opportunity for the mask user to place a used mask back in the bag and re-seal it. You did not know if you had a sanitized face mask or not when you needed to depend on it.
Foodsaver bags have solved the challenges that zippered bags could not. Each fresh air mask is now always sanitized when the foodsaver (now masksaver) bag is opened in the field and once opened it cannot be resealed. This ensures you get a sanitized mask every use.

Real problems sealing bags containing dried foods.
I have used bag after bag after bag trying to maintain a seal with dried foods. The problem seems to be the bags apparently punctured with pin holes just large enough to kill the vacuum. I've tried double sealing all four edges without success. The wasted bags have more than offset any savings I had hoped to reap from much of my garden. Sealing bags with powdered or ground foods and softer foods has resulted in only an occasional problem. The machine, itself, appears to be working properly. Bags and rolls are expensive, too expensive to be throwing them away for failure to maintain a seal.

PREMADE BAGS PAY OFF BIG TIME
WAITED PATIENTLY FOR THE TWO FOR ONE SALE. BOUGHT THE 6 PAK ROLLS BUT ALSO BOUGHT THE PREMADE BAGS WHICH I'VE NEVER BOUGHT BEFORE. JUST HAPPENED TO GO SALMON FISHING AND CAME HOME WITH WELL OVER 50 LBS OF FILLETS. THE PREMADE BAGS SERVED ME WELL FOR VACCUUM PACKING ALL THE FISH. ONE FRIEND FLEW HOME TO SAN DIEGO AND THE OTHER FLEW HOME TO SAN JOSE WITH FROZEN VACCUUM PACKED FISH. ALL ARRIVED TO THEIR DESTINATION IN PERFECT SHAPE. DID I MENTION THAT MY WIFE CAUGHT MOST OF THE FISH? IF I DIDN'T PUT THAT IN I'D HAVE SOME SERIOUS PROBLEMS HERE AT HOME! THANK YOU FOODSAVER. LARRY SUNDERMAN

We recommend the Food Saver vacuum sealer and bags
We've owned our Food Saver for over a year and use it to store many food products. We freeze fruits and vegetables from our large garden, wild game, and bulk purchases into smaller sizes. The vacuum sealer and rolls of bags are easy to use. We most frequently use the 8 inch rolls, and the 11 inch rolls for larger items. The sealer is easy to keep clean. Food products seem to keep better than in any other bags or storage containers we've used, without freezer burn and excessive moisture and with exceptional taste and color. We recommend the Food Saver vacuum sealer and the bags..

Great product, many uses
I used a similar product 30 years ago and loved it. I purchased a Food Saver around 3 years ago. When our parents reached the point where they unable to cook for themselves, I started using the rolls and making individual portions for them. This worked great and they were able to have minimal time spent for food preparation. When our grandchild came along, the packets were made smaller. Now when his parents are rushing between school and work, they can grab a couple of bags for him and meal preparation is easy. Leftovers are wonderful like this. No waste. Love this product.

Most frequently used
The 11 inch rolls are the most frequently used bag size in our home. We use this product during the harvest to freeze corn, chard, spinach, peas, tomatoes, and green beans. We also freeze fresh herbs and bag up dried herbs. The Food Saver unit is in our kitchen all year long because we use it to repackage frozen fruits after they have been opened, and in some cases, we are able to keep leftovers longer. Too often we have put leftovers in the refrigerator only to find that they have gone bad. These food saver bags save us more money than they cost us.

The Food Saver saves my food and saves me big $$$
I really enjoy my food saver because it saves me $$ every time I use it.
I buy almost all of my meat products from Sam's Club and therefore buy bulk. So when I get home from Sam's, I open all the packaging and proceed to vacuum pack dinner size portions with the Food Saver, and then place all the smaller bags into the freezer.
Then, I can use the smaller individual potions at a slow pace. The food saver really keeps the meat fresh and I never experience freezer burn. So I save because I buy in bulk and don't loose any of the product to age or freezer burn..
I use my Food saver more and more now for many food stuff items that I want to freeze and extend the life (coffee, cheese, bacon, corn on the cob, green chilli, etc.).
