How is the FoodSaver® FreshSaver® different from my Full Size FoodSaver® Heat Seal Appliance?
The FreshSaver® Handheld is small and compact and works great for refrigerator items, such as deli meats and cheeses, that you access everyday. The Vacuum Zipper Bags and Deli Containers are convenient and easy to get in and out of for everyday use.
The full-size FoodSaver® appliance is for longer term storage, and works especially well for keeping freezer items protected from freezer burn. It’s also great for larger quantities such as items purchased in bulk or on sale.
Can I use regular FoodSaver® (Heat Seal) bags and rolls with the FoodSaver® FreshSaver® Handheld?
No. The FreshSaver® Handheld is designed to be used exclusively with the FoodSaver® Vacuum zipper bags and deli trays. The FoodSaver® bags require a heat seal and the FreshSaver® bags have a zipper seal so they are easy to get in and out of for everyday use.
Why should I have both the FoodSaver® FreshSaver® and my Full-Size FoodSaver® Heat Seal Appliance?
The FreshSaver® Handheld and the full-size FoodSaver® complement each other to care for all of your food storage needs.
The FreshSaver® Rechargeable Handheld is small and compact and works great for refrigerator items, such as deli meats and cheeses, that you access everyday. The Vacuum Zipper Bags with Valve and Deli Containers are convenient and easy to get in and out of for everyday use.
The full-size FoodSaver® appliance is for longer term storage, and works especially well for keeping freezer items protected from freezer burn. It also works great for bulk items, and food that goes into canisters such as bulk cereals, soups, etc.
Can I use Vacuum Zipper Bags with my Full-Size FoodSaver® Heat Seal Appliance?
With the FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper Bag Adapter you will be able to use the new vacuum zipper bags with your Full-size FoodSaver® Heat Seal appliance.
When will the FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper Bag Adapter be available?
The FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper Bag Adapter will be available in late October 2009 and can be purchased at the parts section of www.FoodSaver.com at that time.
What is the difference between the FoodSaver® vacuum zipper bags and other brand of zipper bags that are available at the store?
Our FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper bags are made with a reinforced double-track zipper and multi-ply material with air channels that help push the air out of the bag. Once you try them, you’ll see the difference!
Can the FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper Bags be put in the Freezer?
The Vacuum Zipper bags are designed for refrigerator items, such as deli meats and cheeses, that you access everyday. We do not recommend for long-term freezer storage.
Can I re-use the Vacuum Zipper bags?
Yes. The bags are re-sealable for every day us! However we do not recommend that they be washed and reused because it might compromise the ability to create a proper vacuum.
Can I use the FoodSaver® FreshSaver® Handheld and Vacuum Zipper Bags to store moist items?
Yes, however we recommend using the deli trays for moist items.
How long do the Vacuum Zipper Bags keep something fresh in the Freezer?
The zipper bags are designed for refrigerator items, such as deli meats and cheeses, that you access everyday. We do not recommend for long-term freezer storage.
How long do the Zipper Bags keep something fresh in the Refrigerator?
It varies, depending on the food item being stored.

Can I use the FoodSaver® Deli Containers with my Full-Size FoodSaver® Heat Seal Appliance?
Yes, the Deli Containers will work with the accessory hose and the included Deli Container adapter.
Can FoodSaver® Deli Containers be used in the Freezer?
The deli containers are designed for refrigerator items, such as deli meats and cheeses, that you access everyday. We do not recommend for long term freezer storage.
Are the FoodSaver® Deli Containers only to be used with Deli Meats and Cheeses?
The FoodSaver® Deli Containers can be used for storage of any refrigerator items such as deli meat, cheese, veggies and other snack foods.
How long do the FoodSaver® Deli Containers keep something fresh in the Refrigerator?
The length of time varies depending on the type of food item and the freshness of the item when stored.
